prada strikes again..

so... i haven't had any really good prada stories lately because 1) i've been trying to post all the pictures i have of the kitties from like 2 years ago... and 2) she's actually been civil for some time... except for today... i have an orchid flower that sits on my dresser... i've had it for at least a couple of weeks... and the kitties have been good about not jumping on the dresser since the orchid kind of blocks them... today was a different story... prada tries to jump up onto the dresser and finds out that there is not enough room for her fat butt to fit... so down comes the orchid... the stem of the flower is actually bent... i was so angry but then i thought... what could i do? it's not like prada fully understood the havoc that she just caused... so i repotted the orchid and taped the bent stem with electrical tape... which i know is probably wrong but i just want the stem to try to regrow or regain it's strength again! so i guess she's still the same little nosy thing she has always been....

squirrels need to eat too...

bully bluejays...

one of the observations i've had with our bird feeder was that i didn't know how aggressive bluejays are! i even discovered this more at my work... they are just this kind of take charge bird with no regards to anything! and man can they get pretty big! back to our backyard, i have witnessed bluejays bully the smaller birds and they have tried to protect the feeder from other birds... some patiently wait in a nearby tree and when they get tired of waiting, they attack... i always used to think they were cool birds... i mean they are... but they are in need of an attitude adjustment!

the beginnings of a bird feeder...

at our old place, we hung a bird feeder up... it was quite entertaining of us as well as for the kitties... here was our first guest:

at our old house, the kitties always used to love to sit on the window sill in our bedroom and look out the window... this week will be pictures of what they were looking at...

floofy friday...

sometimes i forget how hairy kolohe can be... and sometimes i am astounded by the amount of hair i vacuum up... then i have to remember that even though prada is a short haired cat, she can equally produce the same amount of hair! even brushing them on a daily basis, the hair still falls!

not knowing prada's past, we have come to assume that somehow when she was young, she injured her left hind leg... she kind of walks with a funny limp (although you have to really stare to notice) and when she's in funny positions, the left leg is always straight out, as if she can't bend it...

i'm thinking... injury that healed incorrectly...
