wordless wednesday...

flock 'o birds...

bully bluejays...

one of the observations i've had with our bird feeder was that i didn't know how aggressive bluejays are! i even discovered this more at my work... they are just this kind of take charge bird with no regards to anything! and man can they get pretty big! back to our backyard, i have witnessed bluejays bully the smaller birds and they have tried to protect the feeder from other birds... some patiently wait in a nearby tree and when they get tired of waiting, they attack... i always used to think they were cool birds... i mean they are... but they are in need of an attitude adjustment!

the beginnings of a bird feeder...

at our old place, we hung a bird feeder up... it was quite entertaining of us as well as for the kitties... here was our first guest:

at our old house, the kitties always used to love to sit on the window sill in our bedroom and look out the window... this week will be pictures of what they were looking at...

floofy friday...

sometimes i forget how hairy kolohe can be... and sometimes i am astounded by the amount of hair i vacuum up... then i have to remember that even though prada is a short haired cat, she can equally produce the same amount of hair! even brushing them on a daily basis, the hair still falls!

prada's bum leg...

not knowing prada's past, we have come to assume that somehow when she was young, she injured her left hind leg... she kind of walks with a funny limp (although you have to really stare to notice) and when she's in funny positions, the left leg is always straight out, as if she can't bend it...

i'm thinking... injury that healed incorrectly...

so usually when we hold her, she looks like this:

this is an oldie but goodie... prada loves to squeeze into the smallest spaced possible... if we still had this scratching post, there's no way that today, she would be able to fit into it...

WHOOPS!!!

i am such a bad kitty mama! i totally forgot that it was prada's 3rd birthday on 8/8/11!! i feel so bad... maybe that's why she decided to let me pet her this morning, and then on a whim she bit and scratched me... how am i supposed to know she was mad about me forgetting her birthday? her biting and scratching is the norm for her!

i'd like to make it up to her... but she's actually kind of on a diet... or should be on a diet... good ol' daddy keeps sneaking her stuff...

maybe a new toy... she did get a new box and crunchy paper to play with this week...

ooh.. i just feel so bad!

a few reasons why i decided to start blogging again... i have all these pictures that are sitting in a folder on my desktop waiting to be blogged... that and i'm jobless... so i have more time on my hands for the time being...

i miss my dog, yoshi... i really miss having a dog but with prada around i don't think we'll be able to get another dog... having prada is like having at least 5 animals in the house....

and also, yoshi was such a good dog, that if i were to get another, i'd end up disappointing myself... i know that no dog will ever be like yoshi... and i know i'd be constantly comparing... and that wouldn't be fair to the new dog...

i do miss canine companionship though...
