dust-off...

which i found out can also be used as prada-off... another tactic i discovered when i find her on counter tops... she hates it... it's cold, a blast of air and a scary noise... have i finally won? maybe not entirely because she still jumps on counters... but it is less frequent...

will be out next week... mini vacation to disneyland... hopefully the kitties will behave... hope the furniture stays in tact and who will spoil king kolohe?

never bite the hand that feeds you...

kitties get hungry... my husband only feeds them a small amount in the morning... kolohe is easier to feed because he lets you know it... prada only bugs when she's really really hungry...

it wasn't quite dinner time for them yet and i was going to give prada a small snack... so we go to where her bowl is and as i bend down, she screeches, hisses and swats at me...

no snack for her... brat...

paper bag prada 2...

oh for the love of paper bags...

one day prada was playing in a paper bag... this particular bag has handles on it... for some reason she things she can slink in and out of the handles...

as she did this, she got stuck... and panicked... so the handle ripped off and was stuck around her neck... this freaked her out even more... she ran around the house all crazy... i tried to assist her but i was laughing too hard... that and she wouldn't let us near her... finally she got it off and went to go hide in the garage...

below we had to stage the photos because when the actual event happened, it happened too fast for me to get photos... but these photos are just as funny...

paper bag prada...

today was a warm day... so prada is in one of her extra moody hissy fits...

anyways, prada is very fond of paper and plastic bags... she even tries to squeeze into small ones... i think she likes the sound of the bags because perhaps it reminds her of the crunchy leaves that she used to sleep on when she was out on her own...

a few pics of prada in bags...

two dumb dumb heads...

one evening my husband thought it would be nice to carry prada outside.... squirrel-y prada who doesn't like to be held much in the first place...

so i'm sitting inside, watching tv... i hear the roar of a car, a bang against the screen door, and witness scared-y cat kolohe streaking to the back of the house... i glance behind me and i see my husband's shadow dashing across the front window...

prada was loose...

i come out yelling and asking what happened... apparently the loud car that went by spooked prada that led her to twisting out of my husband's grip and at first she tried to run back into the house, but the screen door was closed, so she crashed into it... she then dashed around the corner of the house... she was extremely scared and cowered behind the trash bin... she also wouldn't let my husband pick her up... he had to use his sweatshirt to cover her and grab her...

i told him she's never allowed outside again... thank god she doesn't know how to climb a fence... we could've had a harder time catching her...

happy box day!

i've been seeing it floating around on other kitty blogs, so i thought i'd participate...

i guess it's international box day and owners share pictures of their kitty cats in boxes... so my submission is prada in a bike hat box... she just loves to squeeze into the smallest spaces possible...

random things...

this morning prada was being pretty cute... she comes up to me and looks at me with her cool, blue eyes... of course i knew she was only doing this because when i wake up, i come out and give the kitties treats... she even let me pick her up a couple of times throughout the day and let me hold her and pet her without her trying to bite my head off...

then she got all pissy because i took off her collar to put on her home again id tag on it... had a hell of a time trying to get her collar back on... after running a few laps around the house and trapping her behind the toilet i got her and put the collar back on... then i had to chase her because she kept wanting to bite the tag... i guess the tag makes kitties unhappy... kolohe did the same thing when i put his on... and now it's all scratched up and you can't read the numbers on it...

on another note, prada has this thing with my son where she likes to lick and groom his head... i'm not sure if it's a sign of affection towards him or maybe some motherly instincts, but it's kind of funny... so today, i kind of found it touching when i went up to her as she was sitting in the window watching birds and the next thing i knew, she was nuzzling me, being sweet, and trying to lick my head and groom it... the only problem was that my hair is much longer, so she started kind of chewing on it... i just thought it was really cute when she nuzzled me... i never get any kind of affection from her unless i'm passed out, napping and she comes to cuddle...

bacon grease...

thought i'd share a picture of prada's footprints in bacon grease... or they could even be tongue marks from her licking the pan...

we trimmed her toenails today and put advantage on... she was actually decent for once...

ravioli...

one night i made ravioli for dinner... it was piping hot and i set it out on the table for my son... i called him to come eat and he came... he turned for less than three seconds to grab a fork, turned back around, and there was prada with a piece of ravioli in her mouth...

she growled... but she also flung it because it was hot... serves her right!!  but when she flung it, she got tomato sauce all over and some of it spilled on the beige colored chair cushion... stain for life...

she burned her tongue... we got a good laugh out of it... and of course she still hasn't learned her lesson about food...

trouble, trouble, and more trouble...

prada has been in major b*tch mode lately... the other day she bit me as i tried to pick her up... good thing i was fast enough to pull away, so her sharp tooth just grazed me... she had a time out for that one... a nice cuddle in the blanket with me... of course she hated it...

i have half a mind again to declaw her... she is clawing everything!  even the sides of the once beloved leather couch... she has also gone through two rolls of toilet paper... the good kind too...

she has been on the counter and stove top... apparently she likes the taste of bacon grease...

she's getting fatter and has obtained a pot belly...

her father has moved out and abandoned her... not really... but i can't let her go to a shelter... no one will understand her antics... people will fear her and she'll either be bounced from home to home, shelter to shelter, stuck at a shelter forever, or kicked to the street again... then i think if we keep her, i may not be able to get another dog because she totally hates dogs... i don't know... just some things i have to think about... i am not a fan of ditching animals... i will admit i have done so before and i feel really bad about it now...

why can't she just be nice?  life would be so much easier if she were...

quick update...

busy as hell month... graduations, weddings, birthdays, father's day...

prada is b*thcy as hell lately!!  don't know why... maybe she's just decided to be a little snot because we baby-sat the nicest dog in the world and locked her in the garage because she wasn't liking the idea of having her around...

she's still making trouble... have some photographic documents of her trouble making...

her and kolohe have been fighting like mad too... chasing each other like crazy...

hope to be back soon with more exciting entries...

babysitting...

it's funny how you can have two dogs of the same breed be so different...

the first time we babysat, was for a yellow lab named duke... we knew him since he was a puppy and he was very low key and quiet... i guess he grew out of it... almost a year later, he's overweight and has a ton of energy... didn't know any commands either... maybe sit... we'd take him to the park and run off his energy... since he was obese, the first time we did this, he threw up... even though he was fun it was very tiring to have him around...

just this past weekend we watched another yellow lab, buckley.... he was older, yet still had a good amount of energy... he was trained as well... he was quite entertaining... barked when he wanted to be let out, barked when he was ready to come in.... he was fine around the kitties even though prada wasn't having anything to do with him... so her bratty self spent the weekend in the garage...

having a nice doggie in the house felt good... reminded me of what it was like to have a well behaved dog again...
